Notification of appointment for three vacant posts of MPSC issued.
As per the approval of Governor Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari for the appointment of three vacant posts of members of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, notifications of the appointment of three members have been issued today. Minister of State for General Administration Dattatraya Bharane had met Governor Shri Koshyari yesterday to approve the appointment of vacant members of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission.
As a member of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, Dr Devanand Baburao Shinde, Dr Pratap Ramchandra Dighavkar and Rajiv Ranjit Jadhav has been appointed as per the notification. Reacting to this, Mr Bharne said that the Police Sub-Inspector Examination (496 posts), Maharashtra Engineering Service Examination (1,145 posts), Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Service Examination (435 posts), Maharashtra Forest Service Examination (100 posts) conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, As per Maharashtra Electrical Engineering Service Examination (16 posts), a total of 6 thousand 998 candidates are eligible for interview for 2 thousand 192 posts. Out of which 377 candidates have been interviewed and the remaining 6 thousand 621 candidates are yet to be interviewed. Now the appointment of these members will speed up the recruitment process and will provide relief to the candidates appearing for the competitive examinations.
Minister of State for General Administration Shri. Bharane said that in connection with the increase in the number of members of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission on the lines of the Kerala Public Service Commission, Governor Shri. Discussions have taken place in the meeting with Koshyari. The term of one of the members of the commission is coming to an end soon and a proposal will be sent soon to fill the vacancies, he told the governor. After receiving both the proposals, a positive decision will be taken on them immediately, said the Governor.
