Omicron Scare: Maharashtra reports 8 new cases of new COVID-19 strain, recovery rate stands at 97.72 per cent.
As many as 686 Covid-19 patients were discharged today from various hospitals in Maharashtra, taking the total of the Covid free patients to 64 lakh 93 thousand 688.
The recovery rate in the state is now 97 points 72 per cent. Meanwhile, 684 new cases were found in the state today while 24 patients succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.
Currently, 75 thousand 492 patients are in-home quarantine and 880 patients are in institutional quarantine.
As per a report given by the National Institute of Virology, today 8 more patients of Omicron were found to be infected in the state. In the MCGM area, one death was reported.
