Petition seeking a stay of the strike order of ST workers participating in the strike; Rejected by Labor Court.
Mumbai: The Labor Court has rejected the petition filed by the participating workers seeking a stay of their stay order.
The corporation had filed a charge sheet against the employees of Latur and Yavatmal divisions for non-attendance at work, obstruction of ST traffic, incitement of other employees to strike, closure of ST transport, financial loss.
A notice was also issued as to why these workers should not be removed from the state transport service. The workers had lodged a complaint in the local labour court. The court has refused to stay in the proceedings. After this result, the corporation immediately dismissed the nine workers concerned.
