Parking at 22 places and arrangement of 260 buses.

Pune: The Jayasthambh Abhiwadan program at Pernefata near Koregaon is being planned by the government and necessary preparations are being made by the district administration. Special efforts are being made at the administrative level to provide necessary facilities to the followers who come to greet them and also to hold the program in a peaceful atmosphere.

Jayasthambha will be decorated with attractive flowers as well. The program will be telecast live on Doordarshan’s Sahyadri channel. Planning is underway through Social Welfare Department, District Administration and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) to provide necessary facilities to the followers who come to greet.

Under the guidance of District Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh and Social Welfare Commissioner Dr Prashant Naranware, meticulous planning is being done. Accordingly, including Police Department, Zilla Parishad Department, Public Works Department, PMPL, State Transport Corporation, Food and Drug Administration, State Excise Department, Barti, Social Welfare Commissionerate, MSEDCL, District Information Office, various Necessary works are being done by the department.

The first aid centre is being set up by the health department on the back of Corona and 5 well-equipped ambulances and 15 other ambulances have been arranged. In all private hospitals, 10 per cent of beds are reserved. Also, the state excise department has declared dry days in the area on 31st December and 1st January.
A total of 22 places have been arranged for parking of vehicles of the followers coming to greet and from there 260 buses have been arranged by Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mandal on 31st December and 1st January to go to Jayasthambh.

Changes in transport routes

All traffic from Chakan to Shikrapur and from Shikrapur to Chakan will be completely closed.

Heavy vehicles coming from Ahmednagar to Pune Mumbai will reach Pune via Shirur, Nhavaraphata, Navara, Paragon, Chaufula, Yavat, Hadapsar. The heavy vehicles going from Pune to Ahmednagar will go from Kharadi Bypass to Hadapsar, Pune-Solapur Highway to Chaufula, Kedgaon via Nhavra, Shirur, Ahmednagar.

From Solapur Road to Alandi-Chakan area heavy vehicles, freight (tempo truck) vehicles will go to Hadapsar, Magarpatta, Kharadi bypass from Vishrantwadi to Alandi and Chakan.

From Mumbai to Ahmednagar heavy vehicles, freight (tempo/truck) vehicles will go to Ahmednagar via Wadgaon Maval, Chakan, Khed, Manchar, Narayangaon, Alleppey. Light vehicles going from Mumbai to Ahmednagar will go to Ahmednagar via Wadgaon Maval, Chakan, Khed, Pabal, Shirur.

Public and private passenger traffic on both sides of Alandi-Shelpimpalgaon Bahul Sablewadi will be completely closed. Public as well as private passenger traffic on both sides of the road leading to Alandi Markal Lonikanda will be completely closed.

Traffic changes in Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate

Large vehicles coming from Nashik will be able to go to Moshi and Talegaon from Talegaon Chakan Chowk without going to Shikrapur.

Vehicles coming from Mumbai Old Highway at Dehu Road can go straight from Central Chowk to Nigdi Pimpri-Chinchwad without going from Central Chowk to Mumbai Bangalore Highway straight from Wakdanaka, Chandni Chowk.

Vehicles coming from Mumbai to Pune via Express Highway can go from Urse Toll Naka to Mumbai via Bangalore Highway (without going to Nigdi Mukai Chowk) from Wakadnaka and Radha Chowk to Pune.

Traffic from Mumbai to Talegaon via Express Highway will be able to take the bypass road from Urse Toll Naka to Dehu Road without going to Wadgaon Fateh.

Traffic coming from Nashik and Talegaon will be able to go to Pune city via Moshi Nashikphata without going to Shikrapur from Talegaon Chakan Chowk. Pimpri-Chinchwad Deputy Commissioner of Police Anand Bhoite said that the traffic was changed from midnight on December 31 to midnight on January 1.
