Ranjangaon Mahaganapati Devasthan should have a comprehensive tourism development plan: Dr Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council.
Pune: Dr Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council, directed that the Tourism Development Plan, which includes important works for the development of Ashtavinayak Ranjangaon Ganpati Devasthan, should be submitted to the Tourism Department.
After visiting Mahaganapati late yesterday (Monday) evening, he discussed with the officials about the development of the temple premises. Public Works Department Executive Engineer R.Y. Patil, Branch Engineer S. P. Mahajan, Rajgurunagar Bank Director Vijaya Shinde, Devasthan Trustee Adv. Vijayraj Darekar was also present.
After getting information about the drinking water facilities in Ranjangaon and Devasthan, Dr Gorhe discussed the facilities to be provided to the devotees coming for Darshan. He also sought information from the officials of the Public Works Department on how to install solar-powered lighting on temples and darshan marg. Information was given about various social and religious works being done by the temple.
