Pune: How to listen to music, how to enjoy music, along with ‘Sangeet Aswad’ and ‘Marathi Lalit Sangeet’, two certificate courses will be started soon through the initiative of Savitribai Phule University.
Two certificate courses in music will be started through Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Fine Arts Center and Maharashtra Cultural Center, a renowned music institute in Pune. ‘Marathi Lalit Sangeet’ is a five-month course that includes Marathi Bhavgeet, Nataygeet, Lavani, etc. Demonstration of vocal music will be given. The four-month course ‘Sangeet Aswad’ will provide guidance on how to listen to music and how to enjoy it. Both these short courses are being coordinated by Maharashtra Cultural Center, and the participating students will be awarded Savitribai Phule Pune University Certificate at the end of the course.
Courses will be conducted live and online as required. December 25, 2021, is the last date for admission. Courses will start on January 3, 2022.
Courses will be held three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Jyotsna Bhole Hall. Classes of ‘Marathi Lalit Sangeet’ course will be held from 5 to 7 pm and classes of ‘Sangeet Aswad’ will be held from 6 to 8 pm, informed Dr Praveen Bhole, Head of the Department of Fine Arts.
