The Revenue Department has made the computerized Satbara available to the citizens in a new format. Now, from October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, the Revenue Department has taken a revolutionary decision to hand over the first copy of the revised Satbara directly to the account holder, State Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat announced at Shrirampur today.
The State Revenue Department has undertaken a number of modern initiatives such as e-crop survey, computerized Satbara, online conversion, rapid land survey, collective village survey. As part of this initiative, the Revenue Department has made innovative changes in Satbara Utara. The seventeen transcripts were also made available online. This modern Satbara Utara is easy and perfect for the farmers to understand. In order to make the account holders aware of this modern form of Satbara Utara, this Satbara Utara will be delivered directly to the account holders at home. This first copy of the account transcript will be delivered home and free of charge. Kotwal, Talathi in the revenue department will start a special campaign for it from Gandhi Jayanti i.e. October 2. The initiative was announced by Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat while visiting Shrirampur today on the occasion of a government function. Maharashtra has become the first state in the country to provide free and home delivery directly to account holders.
Speaking on the occasion, the Revenue Minister said that the revenue department is trying to provide services to the citizens easily and quickly. As part of that, we’ve tried to make account transcripts easy and straightforward. Now by handing over this account transcript directly to the farmers and account holders, we are going to make this new format of Satbara transcript more popular. Apart from this, we will try to make the changed certificate available online in the near future. The revenue authorities have also been given clear instructions to ensure that the public is not disturbed while providing faster and more accurate services.
