State Examination Council Commissioner Tukaram Supe was suspended.
Mumbai: According to Maharashtra Civil Service Rules, Tukaram Supe, Commissioner, Maharashtra State Examination Council, Pune has been suspended from the date of arrest, informed School Education Minister Prof. Varsha Gaikwad.
As long as this order is in force, the Commissioner, Maharashtra State Examination Council, Pune will be the headquarters of Mr Supe and he will not be allowed to leave the headquarters without the prior permission of the Government. While suspended, Shri. Supe will not be allowed to accept a private job or do business. If they accept a private job or do business while suspended, they will be found guilty of misconduct and subject to action, the order said.
A criminal case has been registered against Mr Supe for misconduct in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) held in the year 2019-20. He was arrested on December 16, 2021. It has been more than 48 hours since the arrest of Mr Supe and he is still in police custody. Against this background, it has been informed that Mr Supe has been suspended from the date of his arrest as per Maharashtra Civil Service Rules.
