Suggestions to increase vaccination in districts with high positivity rates – Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the four districts in the state, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara and Pune, have high positivity rates and efforts are being made to increase the vaccination rate in all the four districts.
In all four districts, the number of corona patients is currently higher than in other districts in the state. Against that background, more emphasis is being placed on the triad of tracking, testing and treatment by the health system. The nodal authorities have been instructed to increase the number of vaccinations in all four districts and the system should make efforts to ensure more vaccinations.
Strict adherence to corona prevention rules is necessary to prevent a third wave of the corona. Globally, in countries where vaccination is high, the third wave has occurred, but its prevalence appears to be declining. Therefore, emphasis is being laid on more and more vaccinations in the state and the central government is being pursued an uninterrupted supply of vaccines, the health minister said.
Don’t be alarmed by the Zika virus.
A three-member team from the central government has come to inspect a Zika patient in Purandar taluka of Pune district. Emphasis is being laid on eradicating mosquito breeding grounds in the area and treating the symptoms accordingly. The disease is not contagious and measures are being taken by the health system to prevent it. The health minister also said that people should not be scared by the Zika virus.
