Amit Shah claims that the central government has created a strong infrastructure to fight cybercrimes.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the central government has built strong infrastructure in the last seven years to combat cybercrime.
He was speaking at a meeting of the Home Ministry’s Advisory Committee on Disaster and Response yesterday. Shah said that this system has been extended to the police station level.
Cyber Crime – Threats, Challenges Criminal tracking system has been implemented in 16347 police stations across the country. Also, in 99 per cent of the newly formed police stations, 100 per cent of preliminary investigation reports are reported directly to the new system.
Apart from that, efforts are being made to train police and lawyers to curb cybercrime, Shah said.
