The country knows the strength of the common people – Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s reaction to the announcement to withdraw agricultural laws.
Mumbai: The announcement of repeal of the Agriculture Act is an example of what the common man can do in this country and what its strength is, said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
In his response, the Chief Minister said that there was an atmosphere of protest against the farmers’ laws all over the country. The agitation started and continues to this day. The breadwinners who feed all of us have fallen prey to this. But this food giver showed his strength, my threefold salute to him. On this occasion, I humbly salute the heroes who lost their lives in this movement.
Anyway, now it is up to the government, and I would first of all welcome the announcement made by the Prime Minister today on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. Mahavikas Aghadi has repeatedly stated its position against these agricultural laws and has also discussed the adverse effects of these laws in the cabinet and in the legislature. Before the Center enacts such legislation, it should make a decision in the interest of the entire country, taking into account all the opposition parties as well as the concerned organizations, so that the humiliation that has taken place today will not happen. “I hope the technical process for repealing these laws will be done soon,” he said.
