The decision to hold the election of Assembly Speaker in the budget session – Nana Patole.
Mumbai: The Mahavikas Aghadi government has avoided holding elections for the post of Assembly Speaker to avoid legal issues. Now it has decided to hold the elections in the budget session to be held in February, claims Congress state president Nana Patole. He was speaking at a news conference in Mumbai.
“It is up to the legislature to change the rules, there is nothing unconstitutional in that,” he said.
The entire process was informed by sending a letter to the Governor regarding the post of Assembly Speaker. The government had taken care that the governor’s post would not be insulted anywhere. The entire presidential process could have been completed in one day. But on the morning of the last day, the governor sent the letter again. Therefore, the election has been postponed, he said.
