The performance of the police during the ‘Corona’ crisis is remarkable.

 Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar lauded the efforts of the police in bringing the coronavirus under control.

         Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar inaugurated two petrol pumps at Baner Road and Pashan Road in the premises of Pune Rural District Headquarters under the Police Welfare Initiative under Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. On this occasion, Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil, Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Superintendent of Police Dr Abhinav Deshmukh, Upper Superintendent of Police Vivek Patil, Milind Mohite, Executive Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited P.S. Ravi was accompanied by senior officers and staff of the police force.

         Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that the police force is always ready to maintain law and order in the state. Administrative officers and employees of various departments including the police department, revenue department and health department are risking their lives to ensure that the citizens abide by the rules laid down by the government. There will be no need for the recovery of fines if the citizens follow the rules. 

           Officers and staff of the police force must be mentally and physically able to further enhance their efficiency. Citizens have great faith in the police force and should not fall prey to bribery, corruption and extortion. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that efforts should always be made to uplift the image of the police force.

            Considering the need of the environment, emphasis should be laid on setting up independent CNG petrol pumps and charging stations. The state government has decided to provide subsidies for the use of electric vehicles. Considering the need for electricity, one should try to avoid unnecessary expenditure on electricity by arranging solar. Considering the pollution, a PUC centre should be set up at petrol pumps, said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

            Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil said about Rs 700 crore has been allocated in the budget to address the housing problem of police officers and staff. The Peon of the Police Force is retiring today as Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police. A proposal is being prepared by the Home Department that he should retire as a sub-inspector. This will not put any additional burden on the financial coffers of the government and is an attempt to give police personnel a chance to work in senior positions in the service.

The Home Department has always stood firmly behind the officers and staff of the police force. While playing the role of a friend of the citizens, try to get love and faith from them, said Home Minister Walse Patil.

Honours to the Director-General of Police Medal-winning officers and staff. 

At the beginning of the program, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar honoured the officers and employees of the Director-General of Police with medals. Among them are Inspector of Police Vilas Deshpande, Ashok Dhumal, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Shabbir Pathan, Constable Santosh Bagad and Police Constable Sultan Dange.

Appointment on a compassionate basis to the child of an employee who died while on duty.

          Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil handed over appointment letters to the children of the employees who passed away while on duty. Among them are police constables Rohit Vaikar, Dhananjay Bhosale, Dhananjay Aagwane, Omkar Bhosale, Rahul Kadam, Tushar Darade and Tushar Bhosale.

    The program was introduced by Dr Abhinav Deshmukh, Superintendent of Police.

कोरोना’ संकट काळातील पोलिसांची कामगिरी उल्लेखनीय.

-उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार यांचे गौरवोद्गार.

 ‘कोरोना’ विषाणू नियंत्रणात आणण्यासाठी पोलिसांनी जीव धोक्यात घालून केलेली कामगिरी उल्लेखनीय असून त्यांच्या कामगिरीस तोड नसल्याचे गौरवोद्गार उपमुख्यमंत्री तथा जिल्ह्याचे पालकमंत्री अजित पवार यांनी काढले.

         उपमुख्यमंत्री तथा जिल्ह्याचे पालकमंत्री अजित पवार यांच्या हस्ते पुणे ग्रामीण जिल्हा मुख्यालयाच्या आवारामध्ये पोलीस कल्याण उपक्रमांतर्गत भारत पेट्रोलियम कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेडच्यावतीने उभारण्यात आलेल्या बाणेर रोड व पाषाण रोड येथील दोन पेट्रोल पंपाचे उद्घाटन झाले. यावेळी गृहमंत्री दिलीप वळसे-पाटील, जिल्हाधिकारी डॉ. राजेश देशमुख, पोलीस अधीक्षक डॉ. अभिनव देशमुख, अप्पर पोलीस अधीक्षक विवेक पाटील, मिलिंद मोहिते, भारत पेट्रोलियम कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेडचे कार्यकारी संचालक पी.एस. रवी यांच्या सह पोलीस दलातील वरिष्ठ अधिकारी व कर्मचारी उपस्थितीत होते.

         उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार म्हणाले, राज्यात कायदा व सुव्यवस्था राखण्यासाठी पोलीस दल नेहमीच तत्पर असते.  कोरोनाचे संकट परतवण्यासाठी पोलीस विभाग, महसूल विभाग, आरोग्य विभाग यांच्यासह विविध विभागातील प्रशासकीय अधिकारी व कर्मचारी आपला जीव धोक्यात घालत शासनाने घालून दिलेल्या नियमांचे नागरिकांकडून पालन व्हावे या करीता प्रयत्न करीत असतात. नागरिकांनी नियमांचे पालन केल्यास दंड वसुलीची गरज पडणार नाही.

           पोलीस दलातील अधिकारी व कर्मचाऱ्यांनी आपली कार्यक्षमता अधिक वाढविण्यासाठी मानसिक आणि शारीरिकदृष्ट्या सक्षम राहिले पाहिजे. पोलीस दलावर नागरिकांचा प्रचंड विश्वास असून लाचखोरी, भ्रष्टाचार व खंडणी अशा अप्रवृत्तीला बळी पडता कामा नये. पोलीस दलाची प्रतिमा उंचविण्यासाठी नेहमीच प्रयत्न केले पाहिजे, अशा सूचना उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार यांनी यावेळी केल्या.

            पर्यावरणाचा विचार करता, काळाची गरज लक्षात घेता स्वतंत्र सीएनजी पेट्रोल पंप व चार्जिंग स्टेशन उभारणीवर भर दिला पाहिजे. राज्यशासनाने इलेक्ट्रीकल वाहनाच्या वापराकरीता अनुदान देण्याचा निर्णय घेतलेला आहे. वीजेची गरज लक्षात घेता, सोलारची व्यवस्था करुन विजेवर होणारा अनावश्यक खर्च टाळण्याचा प्रयत्न केला पाहिजे. प्रदुषणचा विचार करता पेट्रोलपंपावर पीयूसी सेंटरची व्यवस्था करावी,असेही उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार म्हणाले.

            गृहमंत्री दिलीप वळसे-पाटील म्हणाले, पोलीस दलातील अधिकारी व कर्मचारी यांच्या घरांचा प्रश्न सोडविण्यासाठी  अर्थसंकल्पात जवळपास 700 कोटींची तरतूद करण्यात आलेली आहे. पोलीस दलातील शिपाई पोलीस आजच्यामितीला सहायक पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक या पदावर सेवानिवृत्त होतो. यापुढे उपनिरीक्षक पदावर सेवानिवृत्त झाला पाहिजे, असा प्रस्ताव गृह विभागाच्यावतीने तयार करण्यात येत आहे. यामुळे शासनाच्या आर्थिक तिजोरीवर कोणताही अतिरिक्त भार पडणार नसून पोलीस दलातील कर्मचाऱ्यांनी सेवेत वरिष्ठ पदावर काम करण्याची संधी देण्याच्या प्रयत्न आहे.

गृह विभाग पोलीस दलातील अधिकारी व कर्मचाऱ्यांचे प्रश्न सोडविण्यासाठी नेहमीच पाठीशी खंबीरपणे उभा आहे. नागरिकांचे मित्र म्हणून भूमिका बजावत असताना त्याकडून प्रेम व आस्था मिळविण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करा, असे गृहमंत्री वळसे पाटील म्हणाले. 

पोलीस महासंचालक पदक विजेत्या अधिकारी व कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या गौरव.

उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार यांच्या हस्ते कार्यक्रमाच्या सुरुवातीला पोलीस महासंचालक पदक विजेत्या अधिकारी व कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या सन्मान पदक प्रदान करुन गौरव करण्यात आला. त्यामध्ये पोलीस निरीक्षक विलास देशपांडे, अशोक धुमाळ, सहायक पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक शब्बीर पठाण, पोलीस हवालदार संतोष बगाड व पोलीस शिपाई सुलतान डांगे यांचा समावेश आहे.

कर्तव्यावर कार्यरत असतांना निधन झालेल्या कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या पाल्याला अनुकंपा तत्वावर नियुक्ती.

          उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार व गृहमंत्री दिलीप वळसे-पाटील यांच्या हस्ते कर्तव्यावर कार्यरत असतांना निधन झालेल्या कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या पाल्यांना अनुकंपा तत्वावर नियुक्तीपत्र प्रदान करण्यात आले.  त्यामध्ये पोलीस शिपाई रोहित वायकर, धनंजय भोसले, धनंजय आगवणे, ओंकार भोसले, राहुल कदम, तुषार दराडे व तुषार भोसले यांचा समावेश आहे.
