Minister of State for General Administration Dattatraya Bharane directed that a special campaign should be launched as per the circular dated March 4, 1991, to accommodate the children of freedom fighters in the government service and also a proposal should be submitted on the lines of Rajasthan government regarding the pending pensions of freedom fighters. In this regard, a meeting was held at the Ministry today under the chairmanship of Minister of State Mr Bharne.
As per the circular dated March 4, 1991, regarding recruitment of Freedom Fighters and their nominees, the employees appointed as per the earlier recruitment process should be given pay increment and further promotion. In the next two months, the updated information of the freedom fighters in all the districts should be obtained and action should be taken against the officials who are late in providing this information, the Minister of State Shri Bharne also directed. The various demands of the freedom fighters were discussed at the meeting.
MLA Prakash Abitkar, Principal Secretary General Administration Smt. Seema Vyas, Deputy Secretary SK Gupte, Chairman Maharashtra State Freedom Fighters Grievance Redressal Committee Vasantrao Deshmukh and other members were present on the occasion.
