The school bell rang! The Minister of School Education Prof. Varsha Gaikwad visited the schools and interacted with the students and teachers.
School Education Minister Prof. Varsha Gaikwad visited some schools and interacted with students and teachers. The students also welcomed the Education Minister with enthusiasm. Prof. Gaikwad visited DS High School Sion, Colaba Municipal Secondary School (Marathi Medium), Blossom ST English School, Marine Lines, Churchgate, Colaba Municipal School (English Medium). Other schools in the state have been visited on the first day by senior officials of the school education department. Classes V to XII in rural areas and VIII to XII in urban areas have started from today.
In the last few months, we have tried many times to start a school, but considering the severity of Covid-19, we have not been able to start a school directly considering the health of the students and teachers. Now all the schools have been started with care.
Prof. Gaikwad, Minister for School Education, said that a systematic effort would be made to enhance the quality of education of every student as per the educational needs of the students and the educational facilities available to them to make up for the educational losses incurred by the students due to the long period of school closure.
