The work of Fursungi and Urli Devachi Regional Water Supply Scheme should be expedited – Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Gulabrao Patil.
Despite the inclusion of Fursungi and Urli Deva in the Pune district, water supply was being provided through tankers. This question will be resolved soon. Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation Gulabrao Patil directed to speed up the work of Fursungi and Urli Devachi Regional Water Supply Scheme in Pune district. A meeting in this regard was held at the Ministry today under the chairmanship of Minister Mr Patil. He was talking at the time.
The work of the Fursungi and Urli Deva Regional Water Supply Scheme is in the final stage and the funds required for the completion of the remaining schemes should be made available by the Pune Municipal Corporation. Funding for the scheme is not available at present as the scheme is not registered on the IMIS system. Mr Patil also directed the concerned officers of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department to take immediate action in this regard.
Instructions were also given in this meeting to provide funds for rehabilitating the road after discharge of gravity pipe distribution system under Fursungi tap water supply scheme, to take the additional cost from Pune Municipal Corporation along with the cost of road rehabilitation of tap water supply scheme, Pune Municipal Corporation to provide Rs.
