The winter session of the legislature is from tomorrow; a High-level review meeting on all measures including RT-PCR.
Mumbai: The winter session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is starting from December 22 at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai; Regarding the RT-PCR test, security, covid preventive measures, seating arrangements in the hall, fire safety, restaurant, Mr Ramraje Naik-Nimbalkar, Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Mr Narhari Jirwal, Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and Dr Neelam Gorhe reviewed the situation at a high-level meeting.
Mr Naik-Nimbalkar, the Chairman, was instructed to strictly implement the preventive measures considering the danger of Omaicron. A total of 2678 people underwent the RT-PCR test on Monday, December 20, out of which 8 tested positive. Both doses of the vaccine as well as the RT-PCR test are mandatory for Vidhan Bhavan admission.
Visitors will not be allowed to enter during the convention period due to overcrowding. The staff at the minister’s residence is also being admitted in a very limited number.
In order to maintain adequate spacing in the Assembly Hall, seating arrangement has been made for the members during the session, except for one seat. As there is an adequate seating arrangement in the Legislative Council House, seating arrangements have been made for the honourable members in the House itself. The negative pressure system is working in Vidhan Sabha, Vidhan Parishad and Central House.
