Uttar Pradesh govt announces night curfew in the state from tomorrow.
Uttar Pradesh government has announced a night curfew in the state from tomorrow. The decision has been taken by the chief minister in a meeting with senior officials, keeping in view the rising cases of Omicron infection in the country.
The night curfew will be in place from 11 pm to 5 am. Apart from it, the state government said that a maximum of 200 people will be allowed for any gathering and events like weddings. The organiser of the event has also to inform the local administration about the gathering.
The government said that it would be mandatory for people to follow appropriate COVID behaviour and all necessary guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Officials have been asked to keep extra vigil around airports, bus stations and railway stations and also instructed to conduct the testing of each and every person entering into the state. The state has 266 active covid cases as of now.
