Ward wise planning of vaccination session – Additional Chief Secretary Dr Pradeep Vyas’s instructions to the Municipal Commissioner.
MUMBAI: Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health, Dr Pradeep Vyas, has instructed all Municipal Commissioners to plan ward-wise or civic primary health centre-wise vaccination sessions to speed up vaccination of Covid-19 vaccine in the city.
Kavach Kundal Abhiyan is being implemented in the state to speed up vaccination. The campaign will continue till October 14, 2021. Special efforts are being made to increase vaccination in urban and semi-urban areas. In this connection, Dr Vyas has given instructions to all the Municipal Commissioners.
The instructions given by him are as follows
All the Commissioners should convene a meeting of the Covid Task Force. Officers and staff of various departments such as Revenue, Education, Women and Child Development, Urban Development should be invited to the meeting. The ward should be vaccinated. The first dose should be given priority and the second dose should be given. Vaccination should be done by doctors, nurses, nurses, interns as vaccinators, public awareness should be done two days before the vaccination session. For this, give lectures, home visits, announcements in public places, use social media, plan sessions for the next three days according to the stock of available vaccines.
