The health of the citizens is important and the basic facilities required for health in the rural areas will not be reduced, the necessary funds will be made available for this, testified Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr Pawar inaugurated the Jumbo (Portable) Covid Center at Vaduj.  Matthew Joseph of America India Foundation and Saket Jha of Doctor For You were present on the occasion.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawar said that the government has taken 500 ambulances and another 500 ambulances will be taken by September 30. Corona control is a priority in the state and requires the cooperation of the public. If everyone uses a mask and takes care of each other, it will be possible to bring the corona under control.

The Modular Covid Hospital will provide better treatment facilities in collaboration with the USA India Foundation. Doctors from the ‘ Doctor for You’ organization will also be cooperating for the treatment. He hoped that care would be taken to reduce the stress of the patients and make them feel happy and keep the premises clean.

The Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) will submit a proposal next week to approve the Vaduj  Water Supply Scheme for providing water to the people of the Vaduj Nagar Panchayat area, said Mr Pawar. He said that Nagar Panchayat should do quality work. Space has been made available for a medical college and hospital at Satara and work will start soon after finalizing the plan. Mr Pawar said that the work of the Jhee Katapur scheme will also be started soon.

Satara is a land of patriots and heroes and he appealed to the new generation to succeed in the field of arts, sports and industry while carrying on this legacy.

Mr Deshmukh said that the new Covid Hospital will provide better facilities to the people in rural areas. Special assistance was received from Deputy Chief Minister Pawar for this hospital.

Matthew Joseph of the America India Foundation said the district administration has built a good hospital. He said the foundation strives to provide better health infrastructure during the Covid period.

In the introduction, the district collector said positivity and mortality in the district are declining. The capacity of 608 oxygen, 80 ventilators and 184 ICU beds is being increased. 6 new Mini Jumbo Covid Hospitals, 20 PSA Oxygen Projects are being set up. 175 metric tons of liquid oxygen capacity is being increased, he said.

The ambulance keys provided by ‘Doctor For You’ were handed over to the hospital by the Deputy Chief Minister.

Earlier, Mr Pawar greeted the martyr by offering a wreath at the memorial.

A 100-bed modular Covidam Hospital has been set up in the vicinity of the rural hospital Vaduj in collaboration with the American India Foundation. The 250 LPM Oxygen Generation Project has been commissioned through the Foundation. The hospital has 8 containers with 64 oxygen and 16 ICU beds. 10 ventilators and 5 oxygen concentrator plants have been provided. Medical equipment, medicines, oxygen and manpower have been made available through the government.
