Work for a radical change in the medical education department – Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh.
Pune: Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh has appealed to all to work together for radical change in the medical education department along with accepting changes in the medical field. He also said that more precautions should be taken against the background of the Omicron virus.
He was speaking at a review meeting of government medical colleges at Pune, Sangli, Satara, Solapur and Kolhapur organized at BJ Government Medical College. The meeting was attended by Dr Dilip Mhaisekar, Director of Medical Education, Dr Ajay Chandanwale, Joint Director of Medical Education, Dr. Vinayak Kale, Superintendent of Sassoon, Dr Murlidhar Tambe.
Mr Deshmukh said that the work done by the medical system to prevent corona infection is commendable. The threat of corona has not yet been averted, so you will need to take precautions and be prepared with the health system. He also expressed the belief that more precautions need to be taken against the background of the Omicron virus and that corona can be completely eradicated through concerted efforts.
Consistent efforts are being made to solve the problems in the medical field. All efforts will be made to find a way out of this dilemma. He said that the quality of medical services should be maintained and work should be done to provide quality health services to the common man at the grassroots level.
Mr Deshmukh also reviewed the corona measures, precautions against Omicron virus, fire safety, security apparatus, available manpower, treatment facilities, insurance cover for treatment, vaccination etc.
On this occasion, the dean of the government medical college in the Pune division gave information about the government medical college through a presentation.
Heads of various departments of BJ Government Medical College and Heads of Government Medical Colleges of Pune Division were present on this occasion.
